| | | The eLearning Forum's basic question as to whether the breakthrough will come in the near future was clearly answered in the positive by the representatives of the eLearning business sector. "Is there finally going to be breakthrough in eLearning"? Or expressed in a spicier Hungarian formulation: "eLearning at home what's stewing in our saucepans"? On June 9-10 in Budapest, about 300 Hungarian participants from business, industry, education, and science tried to give an answer to this fundamental question.

| | | ALT-C 2006 will feature four themes, capturing the main strands of development current in the field: Next generation learning, Next generation learners, Next generation technology and Next generation institutions. The conference is organized by the Association for Learning Technology, which is a professional and scholarly association which seeks to bring together all those with an interest in the use of learning technology.

Novinky | | |  | WBT dissemination event
| | | On January 30th, 2006, the Romanian project partners, Transilvania University of Brasov and Elite Training & Development, Bucharest, will organize in Brasov a dissemination event in order to present the WBT WORLD website to the general public, mainly to the target group, teachers and trainers, as well as representatives of stakeholders, training companies etc. The aim of the event is to present, at the beginning, general information regarding WBT WORLD project, followed by a presentation of the informative section of the website. The project E-learning platform and WBT courses will be presented in detail, followed by short demonstrations.
| | |  | WBT Courses evaluation with users
| | | Starting on December 2005, the WBT courses' evaluation has begun. This activity will last until January 30th, 2006, and will be open to anyone who wishes to test the courses. The 16 on-line courses, aimed mainly to develop both pedagogical and IT competencies of WBTs, are available in English on the e-learning platform developed in the frame of the WBT WORLD project (http://elearning.wbtworld.net).

| | | On December 15-17th, 2005, was organized in Bucharest the final transnational meeting of the WBT WORLD project, with the participation of all project partners. The meeting agenda included: the evaluation of the stage report, the current status of WBT WORLD activities and preparing the final project report.

| | | At the WBT Workshop, organized on Friday 16th December at Hotel Ibis Bucharest, Romania in the frame of the Leonardo da Vinci Pilot Project WBT WORLD RO/02/B/F/PP 141053, 31 participants, from the project partnership and Romanian experts in the eLearning field, have given their contributions through open presentations and thematic debates. | | | In this stage of the project we are going to test and evaluate the WBT courses implemented on the project e-learning platform. The courses are in English language and a user can take one or more courses for free testing in the period December 2005 - January 2006.
