The European Centre for Education and Training /ECET/ is the biggest extra-curricular training organisation in Bulgaria, running 60 training centres in 37 towns with more than 10,000 students.

It has 8 years of expertise in management, foreign language and computer training; developing programmes and training tools, production of multimedia and CD-ROM. 23 computer labs in 17 towns. Licensed to produce educational CDs.

Registered as an examination centre in the UK (Centre No 74536). Represents three British educational and testing institutions in Bulgaria: The Associated Examining Board (Centre No: 82250); Business and Technology Education Council (Centre No: 74536) and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board (Centre No: EBULSEC). Experience in developing, managing and coordinating projects under LEONARDO, SOCRATES, PHARE, TEMPUS, etc. Promoter and coordinator of the currently running Linguapeace project under Leonardo ( www.linguapeace.net ).

ECET has 7 years of experience and expertise in lifelong learning. Approved and licensed by the Bulgarian National Employment Service to provide training for new professions. Contracted by the European Commission (under PHARE) to train entrepreneurial and computer skills to unemployed in Bulgaria .
The partner will undertake the main following tasks:

  • Attending trans-national meetings; cooperation within partnership toward achieving project goals;
  • Participating in the research activity upon the best practices, methods and competences of WBT in own country;
  • Implementing and evaluating the courses (including the delivery of the web-based modular interactive courses) upon specifications to be established within partnership;
  • Publishing and updating the information regarding the project on their web-site;
  • Translation and adaptation of the materials created within the project;
  • Dissemination of the information related to the project development and its results, using specific means.
